Bad and good news my friends! Bad news…..it looks like it’s going to rain this weekend, but the good news is that the “Dockside Fishing Tournament” which was planned to take place this Saturday August the 4th has now been postponed and will take place on Saturday the 18th of August instead!
So now it’s looking like the weekend of the 18th and 19th of August is going to be pretty busy and lots of fun – with a “Merengue under the stars” party at the Marina Casa de Campo on Saturday (as well as the fishing) and the 3rd monthly Sunset Jazz Night on Sunday!!
And don’t forget that Thursday the 16th of August is a national holiday (day off work) called the Día de la Restauración and is the day when new President of Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina Sánchez takes power – making that weekend a long party weekend in Casa de Campo!
Apart from the date, the details of the “Dockside Fishing Tournament” have stayed the same and are as follows:
The “Dockside Fishing Tournament” being organized by the Marina Casa de Campo and the Casa de Campo Yacht Club is sponsored by Casa de Campo Living and Silgon Inc., Marketing, Web Development & Publishing Services, as well as Eco Planeta Caribe, who offer electric bikes and golf carts for rent and sale, as well as energy-saving solar energy solutions.
This fun activity is completely FREE and is so super easy literally anyone and everyone can take part and have fun! To take part all you need to do is register with the Casa de Campo Yacht Club (details below) and take your fishing gear (stick, nylon, bucket etc.) to your preferred spot in the Marina Casa de Campo and…….FISH!
This FREE tournament is open to children from 4 to 18 years old – but the participation of the whole family is welcome and encouraged!
Enthusiastic fisherman will be divided into the following categories for the contest:
• A: 4-8 years old
• B: 9 – 13 years old
• C: 14 – 18 years old
