Renowned sculptor and visual artist Javier Martin brings the captivating art collection Blindness to Tahay Gallery on August 9, a compelling blend of artistry and social impact. This event, organized by Rita Russo and Edward & Mathew De Valle, promises a distinct experience that unites creativity with purpose.
The opening cocktail will run from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, inviting attendees to immerse themselves in Martin’s thought-provoking creations.
At the heart of this exhibition lies Blindness Dressed of Money, an innovative collection curated by Javier Martin. A self-taught artist with a prodigious start, having secured the Caja Madrid Young Artists Award at seven years old, Martin has since established himself as a prominent figure in painting and sculpture.
His artistic voyage has traversed continents, with his creations adorning spaces across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the United States. Martin’s work, often characterized by its skillful renditions of the human form, immerses the viewer in an attractive visual context while raising great questions to those who observe them.
Beyond aesthetics, Blindness stands as an embodiment of art’s potential for change. A portion of sales will be directed to Fundación de Valle, supporting local HIV clinics in La Romana, Dominican Republic. Organizers Rita Russo and Edward & Mathew De Valle ingeniously weave art and social impact together.
