Being honest, I’ve never been a big fan of Electro House, but after going to this concert my playlist will surely undergo some changes. With colorful lights and giant screens everywhere along what became the biggest dancefloor of the Caribbean, the energy of the place was perfect for the David Guetta’s first time in the iconic amphitheater.
The concert started around 9 pm with 2 local Dj’s: Nítido en el Nintendo who did a great job at getting the crowd pumped and ready for what was coming. After he finished his presentation, DJ Andino took the stage. The young DJ is very well known in the community since he’s a regular at Genesis Nightclub. He engaged the audience in such a way that everybody continued dancing and singing to the popular songs he was mixing. It was certainly the perfect “warm up” before receiving Guetta.
At 12:46 the music stopped, the lights changed and David Guetta came out with his song “Bad”, the excitement and adrenaline among those present were palpable making it impossible to sit. “Dominican Republic! I want to see you jumping and singing,” were the artist’s first words. Throughout the night the very popular DJ played songs like “This One’s For You” (Zara Larsson), “Love Is Gone” (Chris Wi Llis), “When Love Takes Over” (Kelly Rowland), “Bad” (Vassy ), “Hey mama” (ft. Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha and Afrojack), “Titanium” (Sia), “Mi gente” (J Balvin), and “Club Can not Handle me” (Flo Rida), making this a very memorable night.
With a dance floor, bars and vip areas, different from what is usual at previous concerts, more than 3,000 people got together to bid an early farewell to the year with the mixes of the famous French DJ David Guetta, in an incredible setting never seen before in the rocks of Chavón!
The stellar performance of the renowned DJ David Guetta joins a long list of presentations that have been made in the majestic stage of Altos de Chavón in recent years. This year alone we were able to dance and sing along international artists such as Jennifer López, Maluma, CNCO and the reunion of Wisin and Yandel, who joined the extensive list of artists that have performed here which includes Andrea Boccelli, Juan Luis Guerra, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias, J Balvin , Carlos Vives, among others.
