Nothing says ‘Dueños’ better than dancing all night long after a day full of activities at the Dueños 2014 dinner-dance party!
On Saturday November 22nd, Casa de Campo villa owners got together at the La Romana Country Club to celebrate the end of one of the most popular and important event of the year in Casa de Campo, the Dueños 2014 dinner-dance party.
The Dueños party is the closing event of the legendary Dueños weekend. This is also the prize-giving ceremony for everyone that participates in the sporting events that are organized for the enjoyment of every villa owner in Casa de Campo. Costasur and Casa de Campo organize this dinner as another way to show their appreciation to every villa owner.
In this year’s party, the La Romana Country Club was full of elegant and fun villa owners. Entire families and friends were celebrating together with Costasur and Casa de Campo, how much we all love the Casa de Campo resort and all of its diverse and exciting activities.
The whole Casa de Campo community enjoyed a delicious dinner product of the wonderful and fine chefs from Casa de Campo, after which the dance floor was taken over by many of the Casa de Campo residents and danced all night to the tunes of Vítor Mitrov and later on, to the beats of a wonderful DJ.
The following collection of photos was taken during the Dueños ’14 dinner-dance party by Alejandro Heredia, at the La Romana Country Club:
As has become the tradition, at the “Entrega de los Regalos“, Casa de Campo’s Dueños (villa owners) picked up their “goody bags” and enjoyed a feria of different events and activities set up by each Casa de Campo department – showcasing what it is they have to offer not only tourists, but also villa owners!
Also in attendance at the “Entrega de los Regalos” was Rebecca Hughes (me!) and Philip Silvestri, as well as a few members of our team, representing SILGON – meeting and greeting all our friends and fans (!) and enjoying a brindis sponsored by Chivas 18.
Dueños 2014 Yoga on the Beach
A little after sunrise and in the early morning glow at Minitas Beach, a surprisingly large group of Casa de Campo villa owners welcomed the morning with a invigorating yoga class led by local yoga teacher and holistic life coach Kyra Montague, who is also now running the Casa de Campo Spa with Ki-Ra Holistic Living.
Just a little later than the yoga, Casa de Campo’s running community were raring to go. Setting off from Minitas Beach, the competitive group completed a 5km circuit in as little as 20 minutes! Very impressive – we were exhausted just watching!
With the participation of Dueños big and small, the tennis tournament played at the La Terraza tennis club was divided into 4 categories and played in a round robin format.
Each competitor of the shooting tournament got 25 shots to prove themselves as Casa de Campo’s best marksman (and woman). For many, the Dueños 2013 clay shooting tournament was their first attempt at this deceptively challenging (both physically and mentally) sport – perhaps some discovering a passion and talent that we’ll see them shooting more regularly in the future?
Dueños 2014 Horseback riding
Throughout the day, groups of Casa de Campo villa owners enjoyed horseback riding through the resort. A non-competitive and fun way to pass a few hours with the family.
With nearly 200 Casa de Campo villa owners taking part on both the Links and the Teeth of the Dog golf courses, the Dueños 2013 golf tournament was without a doubt the most popular activity of the Dueños weekend (after the beach party of course).
