The Altos de Chavón Regional Museum of Archaeology contains more than 3,000 Pre-Columbian and Taino artefacts – making it a great place to learn about the Dominican Republic’s unique and and rich ancestral heritage – especially for little explorers who can learn in the museum’s special “discovery” room.
On Saturday the 17th of August, the Altos de Chavón Regional Museum of Archaeology will be hosting a creative workshop, in which Casa de Campo’s mini archeologists will get the opportunity to learn all about the aboriginal cultures, their use of ceramics, their many rituals, as well as the flora and flauna of those times, which no longer exist in today’s world.
As with all activities hosted by the Altos de Chavón Regional Museum of Archaeology, the children will be “learning through doing” and will enjoy a wide range of “hands-on” activities throughout the morning.
