A constellation of music stars will grace the stage at the upcoming performance by the iconic singer Fernando Villalona, affectionately known as “El Niño Mimado,” at the Altos de Chavón amphitheater on August 12th.
Big Show Pro and Casa de Campo have jointly announced that this grand event, aligned with the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Altos de Chavón, will feature special guests who will accompany the Dominican music icon. Among these esteemed guests are Sergio Vargas, Jandy Ventura, Félix Cumbe, Rubby Pérez, Pavel Núñez, Techy Fatule and Gabriel.
These talented artists will contribute their charisma and distinctive style to delight the live audience and pay homage to one of Latin music’s great luminaries. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to share this special moment with my followers and friends at Altos de Chavón. Music unites us, and it’s an honor to have these incredible artists joining me in this celebration,” expressed Fernando Villalona.
In 1986, “El Niño Mimado” rocked the stones of an emerging amphitheater that had previously hosted world-famous stars like the illustrious Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich, Santana, Joan Jett, and Heart.
Anyone who experienced this unforgettable concert remembers a Dominican artist wholeheartedly dedicated to his audience, showering them with merengue melodies that have forever nestled in the hearts and memories of Dominicans.
Thirty-seven years later, Fernando anticipates a resounding turnout of his loyal audience for a night destined to be etched in history as the most affectionate and enjoyable gathering he has ever offered to his beloved Dominican Republic.
Attendees will have the opportunity to join the charismatic Dominican artist at the Altos de Chavón amphitheater, raising their voices in harmony to his extensive repertoire, which includes hits such as Tatico Henríquez, Seré, La hamaquita, El gusto, Cama y mesa, Muchachita mía, Delirante amor, El Quijote, La cartita, Dominicano, Carnaval, among many others.
This 2023 performance promises to be one of the most spectacular productions of the year, featuring cutting-edge technical resources and state-of-the-art special effects. Moreover, it will boast an expanded orchestra under the baton of maestro Manuel Tejada, accompanied by a selection of accomplished musicians who will elevate Fernando Villalona’s entire repertoire to its fullest artistic expression.
