progreso marina casa de campo

Recently, our good friend Rafid Ynirio, who most of us know from his good work at the Casa de Campo Yacht Club, started work in a new job – as the bank manager at Progreso in the Marina Casa de Campo. Congratulations Rafid! Here we bring you a short interview with Rafid, where he proudly tells us about his time working at the Casa de Campo Yacht Club as well as his new role at Progreso.

@cdcliving: Tell us a little bit about yourself

Rafid: I was born and raised in La Romana. I have a family, my wife, Rosario Guerrero, works in Casa de Campo’s Sales Department and together we have two children; Rafid Arturo (3 years old) and Emiliano (1 year old).

@cdcliving: Before starting work at Progreso, you were working at the Casa de Campo Yacht Club. Tell us about that.

Rafid: I worked at the Casa de Campo Yacht Club for 3 and a half years. It was a great experience working with Gianfranco Fini and Piero Giacosa, doing big efforts in developing the Sailing culture in Casa de Campo and the Dominican Republic. Some of my duties during my time there were to develop, along with Gianfranco, regattas in different levels of competition, always aiming to achieve the best results. I also assisted Casa de Campo Yacht Club members in the organization of their social events at the Club, as well as organizing social events for them specifically. During my time there, we developed many important regattas, some that I can mention are: Presidente Cup Casa de Campo Regatta (editions 2009, 2010, 2011), Casa de Campo Yacht Club Commodore Cup (editions 2008, 2009) and the world-class sailing event, Rolex Farr 4o World Championship 2010, along with Rolex and the Farr 40 Class Association. The heroic work of Gianfranco Fini in bringing this major event to our shores [the Rolex Farr 40 Regatta], we were able to create an unforgettable event, never before done in this country. I cherish my time spent at the Casa de Campo Yacht Club; it gave me the opportunity to meet so many interesting people that taught me so much.

@cdcliving: You are now working as the bank manager at Progreso in the Marina Casa de Campo, what does your new job involve?

Rafid: My duties here involve, first off, creating an effective relationship with our clients, so they feel confident when working with us. Luckily, I know many of our clients from my time working at the Casa de Campo Yacht Club, so it is my intention to continue strengthening our relationship with them and making sure we satisfy their needs as a bank. I must make sure our clients are receiving a quality service and a feeling from them that this bank is their ally, their partner. We regularly work with and offer different products based on the needs of our clients; it is my job to listen to, advise and work with them, to best suit their needs.

@cdcliving: What services does progresso in the Marina Casa de Campo offer?

Rafid: In Progreso we do provide all services generally done by other banks. However, the Casa de Campo community requires special services such as national and international transfers to many banks around the world. We provide loan facilities and deposit certificates with very competitive interest rates. For the clients who wish to automate the payment process of their employees, we provide the Payroll service. We are also the only bank in the Dominican Republic to offer our clients a certified American Express, which has been created to meet our clients unique needs.

@cdcliving: Please tell us about the “Casa de Campo American Express Co-Branded Platinum Card” – who is it for? how do I apply? what are the advantages?

Rafid: The “Casa de Campo American Express Co-Branded Platinum Card” is a card that brings together two internationally renowned brands. Where exclusivity takes its true meaning. This credit card is designed exclusivelly for Casa de Campo villa owners. When you receive the best, the privileges are included.
