The first edition of Concours d’Elegance Casa de Campo, an exhibition of more than 30 vintage cars, will be one of the attractions during the grand finale of the Polo Challenge RD 2017 Caribbean Open that will take place on Friday, April 14th.
The event will be attended by the most select car collectors of the country who have restored some of the most traditional car brands like Ford, Toyota, Chevrolet, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz and BMW, as well as brands that are no longer on the market such as Packard, Hudson, and Austin Healey.
The vehicles that will be in the exhibition are from 1919 to the most recent exotic models of Ferrari. Spectators will be able to appreciate the evolution of cars through the decades in the exclusive sports and family atmosphere of the Casa de Campo polo fields, where there will also be a great party inspired by the 30’s with the Jazz Big Band, food trucks, cocktails, lounges, and a fun petting zoo set up for children to experience the country life.
Additionally, there will be an area where the main dealers in the market showcase their latest models, allowing attendees to test drive them around the polo field.
Polo Challenge RD 2017 started back in January, and with the Caribbean Open officially closes another successful season with the participation of some of the world’s best polo players, such as Juan Martín Nero and Pelon Stirling. This places the Dominican Republic on the world map of polo, next to destinations like England, Sotogrande, and West Palm Beach.
