The 5th Annual McDaniel Teaching Pro’s Tournament is being held from Thursday the 11th of March through to Sunday the 14th of March at the La Terraza tennis club in Casa de Campo.
This annual tournament was started 5 years ago by Richard McDaniel, who along with a growing number of sponsors organise the event in order to raise money for scholarships for Casa de Campo’s ball boys (boleros). This is a very important charitable event which unites the La Romana Country Club tennis players with those from the La Terraza tennis club to help support the education of the young ball boys from la Romana.

The event will start on March 11, 2010 at 9AM at La Terraza Tennis Center and the finals will be held at the La Romana Country Club on Sunday March 14, 2010 at 4 PM. The tennis matches are fabulous since the players compete for the honour of their club and the purse. The final is always professional level tennis and very competitive. Tennis enthusiasts are welcome to come to watch some of the best tennis played in the community.
Each year an Honorary Chairperson is elected, this year Herbert and Mildred Abrams are being honoured – the most senior members of the Casa de Campo tennis community.
