On Thursday, April 20th, Casa de Campo Resort and Villas hosted an unprecedented event, the Comedy Night Golf, where night golf and a comedy show merged to delight all the attendees who gathered at the driving range of Teeth of the Dog.
The activity started at 7:00 p.m. with Night Golf, in which golf enthusiasts enjoyed the experience of hitting illuminated balls towards different LED-lit targets in the background of the field.
The illuminated tables and chairs and the colorful backdrop of bright rings created a cheerful and vibrant atmosphere, the perfect combination to precede a comedy show.
Later on, at 9:30 p.m., the most anticipated show began. Flex Alexander, Buddy Lewis, and Chris Spencer took turns making the audience cry with laughter, quite literally. Applause and laughter were constant during each monologue.
Their jokes revolved around various topics related to adult life, such as health, relationships, sex, children, and social prejudices.
Jason Kycek, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Casa de Campo Resort and Villas, explained that this event is part of the novelties Casa de Campo has planned for the enjoyment of its residents and guests, who always support the initiatives with their presence.
“Casa de Campo works every day to reinvent itself. That’s why we strive to ensure that every event held in this place has the highest level to satisfy the most discerning tastes of our guests and residents,” added Kycek.

Ivonna Sosa, who identified herself with the jokes, thoroughly enjoyed it.
The resident of Casa de Campo said it was exciting to see the invited group, as well as villa owners, residents, employees, and hotel guests, all enjoying the show.
“I thought it was a fantastic event and easy to repeat. I laughed a lot. It was a contemporary-adult event on a beautiful casual night. I really liked it,” reiterated Sosa.
Origin
Comedians Flex Alexander, Buddy Lewis, and Chris Spencer are part of an exclusive golf group called TrayFore Invitational, which has been visiting Casa de Campo for three years to play on each of the resort’s golf courses.
Raúl Cendoya, General Manager of the Country Club and professional golfer, organizes this event along with the renowned NBA Hall of Famer, Ray Allen.
This golf tournament had the participation of 32 friends from various places in the United States, such as Los Angeles and Miami. In addition to having the opportunity to play on all the golf courses at Casa de Campo, they also enjoyed the resort’s amenities.
It is worth mentioning that this comedy show took place during the awards ceremony of this fun tournament, but this year they decided to make it open and free for everyone. And it was a success.
Cendoya believes that the warm reception from the residents and guests who attended the event was so overwhelming that it is almost sure that they will repeat it next year.

Chris Spencer is an experienced comedian who has entertained audiences for over three decades. He co-created and produced the BET/Netflix hit Real Husbands of Hollywood, which earned him a prestigious NAACP Image Award. With countless award shows under his belt, Spencer has significant projects in the city with Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart.
Buddy Lewis is a talented comedian, actor, and writer with an impressive resume. He is the host writer for D.L. Hughley and Jamie Foxx and has produced a vlog series called “Buddy Lewis, The World’s Greatest Comic Golfer.” Lewis also dubs himself the “Best Comedian-Golfer in the World.”
Flex Alexander is an actor, comedian, and star of OWN’s docu-series “Flex & Shanice.” He began doing stand-up in 1989 and returning to the stage is a “renaissance” for him. Alexander believes comedy is like food for the soul and can change someone’s mood and mindset by creating laughter. Mc Lyte, also part of the Comedy Underground series, believes that music and comedy go hand in hand.
