Ismael Cala

Ismael Cala is in Casa de Campo this weekend! The renowned Cuban journalist, writer, producer and host of the CNN en Español interview show, Cala is in Casa to film a 5 episode special for his CNN show, as he himself confirmed on his Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Although he has visited the Dominican Republic in numerous occasions, we believe this is the first time we have seen Ismael Cala in Casa de Campo. Knowing he is a lover of the Dominican culture, we are not surprised to have found out that during his stay in Casa de Campo he has been filming interviews with influential cultural figures of the Dominican Republic. Where better than to film these interviews for his CNN show than the one and only, Altos de Chavón Amphitheater. We see from his Twitter pictures that our dear Freddy Ginebra is one of his interview guests so we are very much looking forward to seeing that on the show!

Before his arrival in Casa de Campo, Cala visited different monuments and sites in Santo Domingo’s Colonial Zone and one of our favorite hotels, the Billini Hotel (¡we highly recommend staying in this charming boutique hotel full of culture and history). With so much inspiration from the First City of the America’s, we are sure Cala will have plenty to talk about to his guests on the show.

Having peeked into the Amphitheater earlier today, we see that the setup is is progress, so we are pretty sure filming will continue tonight.

We will keep you posted and encourage you to follow Ismael Cala on his Instagram (@IsmaelCala) and Twitter accounts (@Cala) to keep up with visit to Casa de Campo.
