Claudio’s Tips for Casa Gents: How to tie a tie…the right way

This post is also available in: Spanish

Claudio_HUOMOWelcome to the newest Casa de Campo Living column: Claudio’s Tips for Casa Gents!

Inspired by our Casa de Campo gentlemen friends, we are taking a stance and recognizing that fashion is not just for women. Casa Gents are elegant, trendy and fashion forward, and just like our ladies, we need guidance every once in a while about What’s in & What’s Out, Fashion Do’s and Don’ts, Seasonal Tips and other matters related to the proper menswear.

Our male readers should not worry as you are in good hands! Your should know that this weekly column will be written by me, Perkin Agramonte… I’m Casa de Campo Living’s sports enthusiast and men’s fashion aficionado. While I like looking my best and keeping up to speed with the latest men’s fashion trends, I must admit that guidance from a pro comes in handy. That’s why I have recruited the help of our dear friend Claudio Marte, owner of HUOMO, a store specialized in customized and tailored men’s fashion in Santo Domingo. Claudio will be guiding me on this quest to make sure our Casa Gents’  look their best in the endless professional and social occasions taking place in the Casa de Campo resort and beyond.

My first article is inspired by the famous Irish writer, Oscar Wilde’s quote, “A well-tied tie is the first serious step in life”. While many of our Gent’s have mastered this important skill, others might need a little help in getting it right…because there is a RIGHT way as I have recently found out with Claudio.  Ladies, this post is for you as well, don’t forget this is a great skill to have.  So without further ado Claudio shows us a Step-by-Step tutorial which I hope you find useful and give it a go!
