In January 2015, Altos de Chavón will be hosting international artists from the Davidoff Art Residency Project at Altos de Chavon.
With this initiative, pursued and accomplished by Claudio Silvestri, Chairman and CEO of Premier Resorts & Hotels, in close cooperation with Altos de Chavón Cultural Foundation, Altos de Chavón will become recognized as the leading center for the development of arts in the Caribbean.
“We are creating something special in Altos de Chavón. Our mission is to make sure that Chavón is positioned as the greatest place of arts in the entire Caribbean,” said Claudio Silvestri, Chairman and CEO of Premier Resorts & Hotels.
With the Davidoff Art Residency project, five international emerging artists from across the world will be working from Altos de Chavón School of Design, for a period of ten weeks each year. Within this period, the artists will have the opportunity to engage with the Dominican culture, while also exposing the unique Dominican culture to the world.
