Claudia Reyes de Lama to host next Café de la Leche – Friday May 10th

Yippee! The beautiful month of May has arrived – which means we have another Café de la Leche celebration to look forward to – on this occasion to be hosted by Claudia Reyes de Lama. 

Since the beginning of 2013 we’ve enjoyed a series of great events to gather milk (for the babies) and raise funds for the Hogar del Niño daycare and education center in La Romana. The year’s Café de la Leche gatherings started on January 4th, when Shine concept store welcomed us all with a great event in Altos de Chavón, followed by in February the Café de la Leche with Annie Paniagua at her spectacular home with its magnificent view over the Chavón river and the Marina Casa de Campo. Also in February we enjoyed the Hogar del Niño’s 16th fundraising weekend – with a record turnout, an evening of opera hosted by Casa de Campo villa owners Mario and Nicoletta Galletto, as well as the Adopt A Crib dinner at the villa of Ramon and Xiomara Menenedez… Then in March and April we all had a great time at the Café de la Leche gatherings hosted by Jeanette Martinez de Lima and Isabel Purcell!

It has been a great year so far for the Hogar del Niño – and next Friday the 10th of May the good times continue at the Casa de Campo villa (Colinas #12) of Claudia Reyes de Lama! We look forward to seeing you there for a few drinks and nibbles – just don’t forget your milk contribution – there are over 200 babies in the Hogar del Niño’s “Crib Room” which rely on those donations!

About the Café de la Leche

The Cafe de la Leche is a monthly charitable event, a little like a coffee or a tea party held for the ladies of Casa de Campo (although men are occasionally invited) and usually takes place on the first Friday of the month, hosted by a member of the Casa de Campo villa at her Casa de Campo villa or occasionally restaurant/business.
