The weekend’s festivities will begin on Saturday at 2pm with the opening of the Bazaar Navideño with more than 40 vendors, artists, kids games and activities and the inuaguration of the ‘La Moda Como Musa’ new art exhibit by Jenny Polanco and Tiziano De Stefano. On Sunday we continue with our second day of the Christmas bazaar, opening again on 2pm and close our the day and the festive weekend with a visit from Santa Claus and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with a concert from the Dominican National Choir!
The program for Sunday’s festivities will be as follows:
2 – 9 PM Holiday Shopping Village – Bazaar Navideño
An amazing opportunity to shop for last minute holiday gifts; enjoy some live entertainment and fun children’s activities. More than 40 stalls, artists and games and activities for kids!
6 PM Catholic Mass, St. Stanislaus Church
7- 8 PM Santa Claus comes to Chavón!
Santa and his elves arrive to greet the children and their camera toting chaperons. He will pop in at Chavón throughout the next week to visit with the children, right up until the time to pack the sleigh and ride back to the North Pole! So children and adults…don’t forget to bring your letters!
8 PM Christmas Lighting Ceremony.
It’s the official ceremony to launch the holiday season with the lighting of our holiday decorations and our breathtaking tree in the Chavón Plaza. Enjoy the sounds of the National Choir with 80 voices, directed by Maestro Jose Enrique Espín; a part of the Dominican Republic Ministry of Culture, as they present a variety of holiday carols and old favorites.

Santa y sus alegres duendes llegan para saludar a niños y adultos con cámara en mano. Santa pasará por Chavón durante toda la próxima semana para visitar los niños justo hasta el momento de empacar el trineo y empezar el viaje de regreso al Polo Norte! Así que pequeñines y grandotes…no olviden traer sus cartas!
8 PM Ceremonia de Encendido de Luces Navideñas.
Es la ceremonia que lanzará oficialmente la temporada navideña con el encendido de luces de nuestras decoraciones y nuestro hermoso Árbol de Navidad en Plaza Chavón. Disfrute las melodías de Coro Nacional con 80 voces dirigido por el Maestro José Enrique Espín, parte del Ministerio de Cultura de la Republica Dominicana, quienes interpretaran una variedad de villancicos y clásicos de todos los tiempos.
