On Friday December 7th, Casa de Campo and Altos de Chavón invites you to celebrate the official start of the holiday season with the first appearance of Santa Claus, the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and even a Christmas concert – all in the Altos de Chavón main plaza!
What better way to celebrate the start of the magical holiday season than on the cobbled streets of Altos de Chavón among fellow Casa de Campo villa owners, residents and special guests? Join us for a night filled with magic and happiness for all the family! Lights adorn the St. Stanislaus Church from rooftop to bell tower, and down to the cobblestone path. Reds, greens, purples, and blues make their way through the radiant night to alight your youthful energy and holiday cheer.
That same day, starting at 6:00 pm, little ones will be able to receive a Magic Pass to Santa’s House. To receive one all they have to do is bring in a new toy or cash donation that will go to Hogar del Niño and Fundación MIR. Once inside Santa’s house, they can personally bring in their letters and talk to Santa about what they want for Christmas. Its a wonderful way to teach our kids the importance of giving to those who need it the most. We hope that you’ve all been good this year!
At 7:30pm, the Lighting Ceremony begins with the Christmas tree, marking the start of the joy filled holiday. Following the display of lights, a Christmas concert with the Juan Pablo Duarte symphonic orchestra, directed by Prof. José Luis Ureña, will take place with traditional Christmas carols. This, mind you, is only the beginning! With a variety of holiday events throughout the season, there is definitely something for everyone – find this year’s complete calendar of activities here!
Mark your calendars for December 7th to be witness to Chavón’s splendor and setting as the stage for a merry wonderland sure to captivate all. Catch last year’s unveiling here.
