This month’s Cafe de la Leche is being held on Friday the 10th of December, from 5pm to 7pm at the Casa de Campo Villa of Xiomara Menéndez, Bahia Minitas #5. (Artículo debajo en Español.)
This wonderful monthly event gathers together the female community of Casa de Campo and La Romana for a gossip, bite to eat and a few refreshing drinks – which can all be enjoyed in the knowledge that you are giving to one of La Romana’s fantastic charities – the Hogar del Niño.
This month’s event is very special because instead of milk, the Hogar del Niño is requesting donations of sweets to be used for the Hogar del Niño Christmas party. This month’s gathering, as the last of this year will no doubt be spectacular, with plenty of delicious food and mouthwatering drinks to enjoy!
Ordinarily, each woman who attends the event is asked to donate milk, baby formula and cereals, which are then given to the crib room at the Hogar del Niño in La Romana, and is used to feed the over 200 babies they care for there. The milk donated at the Cafe de la Leche constitutes over 26% of the milk used in the crib room, so its really important that all us Casa de Campo ladies keep attending!
La Cafe de la Leche es un evento mensual para beneficiar al Hogar del Niño. Este mes el evento es el viernes 10 de diciembre con anfitriona Xiomara Menedez en su villa Bahia Minitas #5 y empieza a las 5PM. El evento normalmente incluye algunas bebidas, comida y la oportunidad a charlar con amigas y conocer nuevas amigas! Contribución: Dulces, caramelos y chocolates para la fiesta de navidad del Hogar del Niño.
