Casa de Campo Resort and Villas marked the beginning of the Christmas season with its iconic lighting ceremony at Altos de Chavón’s Main Square on December 2nd. The community gathered to participate in this annual event that has become a much-anticipated tradition.

The evening commenced with a touching representation of the birth of Baby Jesus by the MIR Foundation, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and the Christmas spirit.

The master of ceremonies was Gabriella Reginato, a beloved Casa de Campo community member who enthusiastically informed the attendees about the various Christmas events scheduled on the property in the coming days.

The Entertainment Department and Management of Altos de Chavón has prepared a diverse program of events for the entire family during the Christmas season. The lineup promises to delight residents and visitors alike, from concerts to magic shows, a Santa’s garden, sports events, and workshops.

Father José Nicolás Tejada of San Estanislao Church blessed the event, adding a spiritual touch to the festive night. The most awaited moment arrived with the countdown to light up the decorations, presided over by Juan Velázquez, Vice President and Administrator of Costasur and Charles Keusters, Director of Operations at Casa de Campo.

Keusters thanked the community of homeowners and guests for their support during 2023. “This has been a year in which we worked hard and completed important projects such as the completion of the premier suites, the Premier Club, and the new Spa at Casa de Campo. All these investments are aimed at improving the quality of services and experiences available at our resort,” he said.

The ceremony was dedicated to the late Mr. Alfonso Paniagua, Vice President-Administrator of Costasur Casa de Campo, recognizing his contributions and hard work over 40 years for the company’s development.

Velázquez took the opportunity to celebrate Mr. Paniagua’s life and the life legacy he left in all Costasur collaborators. He detailed that his teachings will endure in each of them and added that they remain motivated and eagerly look toward the future.

The event also featured a moving Christmas concert by the “Fiesta Clásica” children and teen orchestra, a foundation dedicated to music education based in Santo Domingo, and concluded with a fireworks display. The presence of distinguished personalities from the community and other parts of the country added a special touch to the night.
