This Friday May 8th, 2015, Chivas Dominicana will be celebrating the launch of a new limited edition; Chivas 18 by Pininfarina.
Taking place at the pool area of the Casa de Campo Hotel from 7pm, this by invite only gathering will be led by Ken Lindsay, Global Brand Ambassador for the Chivas Brothers, and will be a unique experience to be shared among the Casa de Campo community, as well as fans of Pininfarina designs. Also taking part as guest of honor will be Steven Morgan, British Consul in the Dominican Republic.
Chivas 18 by Pininfarina
It was in 2013 when Chivas debuted their first collaboration with Pininfarina, the exclusive designer of Ferrari (since the 1950’s) and the creative force behind Maserati, and now the brand has chosen Casa de Campo for the launch of “chapter 2” of this perfect union, a project “characterized by delivering a luxury experience to its customers through its innovative design.”
While the Chivas 18 held within this exquisite limited edition is the same rich and flavorful whisky that has earned international reclaim, it is the presentation that makes the Chivas 18 by Pininfarina unique. In addition to the precision engineered casing created from high-grade silicone, the special edition kit includes moulds for ice droplets, two aluminium callipers and a pair of “drop” glasses, all also designed by Pinifarina with the aim to allow the consumer to replicate and enjoy the “ritual of the ice drop” from the luxury of their own home.
Only 1,500 Chivas 18 by Pinifarina special edition kits have been created, of which only 10 will be available in the Dominican Republic, available exclusively during the launch event for the purchase price of US$600.

While the “ritual of the ice drop” currently remains somewhat of a mystery, it is a mystery to be unveiled alongside the launch of this new product. Invited guests will not only be given the opportunity to witness and enjoy this delicious ritual, but they will have the chance to do so with a range of different Chivas 18 cocktails created especially for the occasion.
