Chivas 18 celebrates the launch of special edition collaboration with Pininfarina

This Tuesday the 2nd of July, the Italian Ambassador in the Dominican Republic, Arturo Olivieri, opened the doors of his Santo Domingo residence, as the host of the launch of a new special edition Chivas 18, a collaboration with Pininfarina, the exclusive designer of Ferrari since the 1950’s and the creative force behind Maserati.

Taking pride of place at the celebration was the Chivas 18 by Pinifarina bottle and presentation case, a slick blue design characteristic of Pininfarina’s automobile designs.

Amongst the select group of modern gentlemn who celebrated the occasion with cocktails around the Ambassador’s pool elegantly lit in Chivas blue, were many Santo Domingo businessmen and women, as well as Juan Carlos González, general manager of Pernod Ricard Dominicana. Also taking part in the event was myself, Rebecca Hughes and Philip Silvestri, representing CasaLife magazine, Casa de Campo’s exclusive resort and resident magazine, whose most recent edition features this beautiful design collaboration between Chivas 18 and Pinifarina. Other Santo Domingo – based Casa de Campo villa owners in attendance included Eduardo Jana, Sixto Inchaustegui, as well as Raisa and Manuel Tapia of Marat Legal.

As part of the evening, Juan Carlos González took a few moments to address the group and personally introduce The Chivas 18 by Pininfarina Limited Editions, which can be purchased at Cava Alta in Santo Domingo.

In recent times, Chivas has shared with us some fun moments here in Casa de Campo; the launch of the latest issue of CasaLife at The Club in Altos de Chavón, a cocktail to celebrate the opening of “Fernando Varela Recent Works – Paintings/Drawings”, the Semana Santa Sunset Jazz Night, as well as of course the CasaLife and Chivas 18 “experience of the senses” at Punta Minitas 34.
