Last Friday December 2nd, the Casa de Campo and La Romana community members were able to enjoy a delicious and authentic Peruvian meal at Chinois thanks in part to Chef Freddy Padovani. The event was a success, and many dined outdoors under Chinois’ classic red paper lanterns.
After a couple of days of on-off rain, we were happy to see clear skies on Friday evening, and the restaurant quickly filled with familiar faces. It was indeed a great idea to invite Chef Freddy Padovani, who worked hand in hand with Ricardo Bello Jr. – Susana Joa’s son and Head Chef at Chinois. Patricia Proaño, Casa de Campo community member, joined the pair, helping cook up delicious Peruvian dishes.
Peruvian Ceviche is known to be exquisite, and this one certainly did not disappoint! Everyone raved about it all night, and the Mushroom Quinoa Risotto was also a close second. The menu consisted of a variety of meat and fish – including Anticucho, Peruvian Spicy Creamed Chicken (Aji de gallina), Mixed seafood and ‘Jalea’, Cilantro Beef Stew (Seco de Res) and more. It was definitely a night our tastebuds will remember!
The start of December brought a merry cheer among the crowd! We want to congratulate Susana and Ricardo for putting together yet another lovely event under the stars, and we cannot wait to see what they have in store for us in the coming weeks.
