The next Café de la Leche celebration is taking place on Friday the 3rd of February at the Chinois restaurant in the Marina Casa de Campo with hostesses Susana Joa and Ivonna Sosa de Cáceres.

This will be the second Café de la Leche that these 2 Casa de Campo villa owners co-host together, the first took place in May 2010 in the Casa de Campo villa of Ivonna Sosa and was a huge success, with delicious snacks prepared by Susana’s restaurant Chinois – no doubt this dynamic duo will once again surprise us all with something special!

The Cafe de la Leche is a monthly charitable event, a little like a coffee or a tea party held for the ladies of Casa de Campo (although men are occasionally invited) and usually takes place on the first Friday of the month, hosted by a member of the Casa de Campo villa at her Casa de Campo villa or occasionally restaurant/business. On this occasion, the Café de la Leche is being hosted at Chinois restaurant, a Chinese restaurant in the Marina Casa de Campo – so we can expect to enjoy a spectacular sunset over the Marina, whilst indulging on a variety of Chinese delicacies!

The aim of the Café de la Leche gatherings are to boost the milk supplies of the Hogar del Niño (a daycare and educational facility in La Romana) – which uses the milk to feed more than 200 babies cared for daily in it’s crib room. Everyone is welcome to attend these great events and it’s totally free – you are just requested to bring some dried/powdered milk, cereals or baby formula to contribute.
