The Altos de Chavón School of Design once again opens its doors for everyone who wants to get creative this summer! The courses run all summer long, with the first one starting on June 26th and the last the first week in August. A huge range of courses is available with everything from drawing, film, photography, and even museology!

Whether you are looking to improve your skill set or simply practice a new art form, the “International Summer” courses offer an intensive technical focus in a short period of time. Each course lasts from 3 days to 1 week, and other than being taught by excellent teachers who are all professionals in their industries, the courses are right here in Altos de Chavón!

We encourage you to browse through the full calendar of the courses here and consider reviving the artist in you. If you are interested in Museology, you’ll learn about museum studies, curation, and art exhibitions. Museologists also organize the display of artifacts and conduct educational programs and training courses – all of these areas will be explored in four very interesting courses to will take place over the summer.

Film-related courses at the school are also on a rise, thanks to the addition of the new Film career that started this past February. The school has been updating its facilities to accommodate everything that the career implies, like the new audiovisual room ideal for film screenings, classroom instruction, lectures and presentations.

At Casa de Campo Living, we’ve taken some of the courses and can attest to the dedication of its professors and how well designed the curriculums are to welcome people from all backgrounds and age groups. Another strong recommendation for participating in Chavón’s courses is for those interested in applying to the Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design soon — classes will help familiarize you with the school’s methodology and coursework, as well as amp up your portfolio and résumé!

While there is still time to enroll, we encourage you to give the school a call or visit to sign-up before they fill up! The Altos de Chavón offices are located right above the Mercadito where you can learn more details about the workshops including who the professors will be. We guarantee it’s one of the best activities you can do this summer!
