A celebration for King Mohammed VI of Morocco

rey mohammedOn Wednesday the 30th of July 2014, His Excellency Dr. Brahim Houssein Moussa and his wife Mrs. Sabiha Allam de Moussa hosted a superb reception at their Santo Domingo residence in honor of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, on the 15th anniversary of his accession to the throne.

Rey Mohammed 2The elegant hosts, Dr. Brahim Houssein Moussa, Ambassador of Morocco in the Dominican Republic and his wife Sabiha, hosted the occasion in keeping with Moroccan customs and traditions, wearing typical Moroccan robes, and adhering to the rules of Rahmadan which forbids the consumption of alcohol.

Also in attendance at the celebration was the Ambassador’s son, Dr. Hassan Benmoussa and his wife, Marianne Puglia.

And so with a brindis of delicious non-alcoholic sangria and a magnificent buffet of the finest Moroccan cuisine, a variety of special guests, dignitaries and VIP’s from Morocco, other members of the diplomatic service, as well as many well known personalities of Santo Domingo and Casa de Campo society, shared a wonderful evening celebrating this special occasion.
