Last weekend from the 4th to the 6th of October, the Fundación MIR charity celebrated their 23rd annual Spiritual Retreat with activities in both Casa de Campo and La Romana, uniting hundreds of members of the La Romana and Casa de Campo communities.
The event, founded from the initiative of Father Emiliano Tardiff 23 years ago, is among the most well-attended spiritual activities celebrated in La Romana and Casa de Campo, a popular gathering where Dominican families come together to share and celebrate their faith. Leading the various celebrations was Monseñor Ramon E. Albino, Padre Harry Lopez, Hermano Felipe Perez and Padre Victor Garcia.
This year the theme of the retreat was “La fe que sana y salva”, the faith which heals and saves, and was both a joyful, yet peaceful celebration of worship, with wonderful songs, as well as numerous workshops for both adults and youngsters, all with the aim of sharing a moment of reflection, to learn and find guidance.
The majority of the activities took place at the Cacique Conference Center in Casa de Campo, but the mass for the healing of the sick took place at the Club San Martín de Porres in La Romana
