art altos de chavonOn Saturday the 16th of July 2012, art lovers of Casa de Campo, Altos de Chavón and La Romana gathered at the Altos de Chavón art gallery to celebrate the inauguration of new art exhibit “La Flor del Cayuco” a remarkable collection of carved wooden sculptures crafted by talented Dominican artisans. 
“It was a big success and well received by the Casa de Campo villa’s owners who are here at this time of the year.”

Also enjoying the show were a group of boys (pictured above) from the Orfanato Niños y Niños de Cristo orphanage in La Romana, brought by 2 Italian ladies of the community, so that they might enjoy the artwork. art altos de chavon The “Flor de Cayuco” art exhibit,  is extraordinary – a magnificent collection of wooden sculptures in all shapes and sizes; boats, figures and houses.

Don’t miss you chance to peruse and purchase these mystical artifacts! This fantastic exhibit will stay open until August 6th and the art gallery is open daily from 9am to 6pm (but closed Tuesdays).
