30 years after his first exhibit in Altos de Chavón Aquiles Azar made a stunning come back with a fantastic and varied exhibit of paintings at the Altos de Chavón art gallery.

The inauguration cocktail was held on Friday the 21st of January at the Altos de Chavón art gallery and was very well attended by Casa de Campo residents, vistors and tourists as well as the friends and family of painter Aquiles Azar. Aquiles first exhibited in Altos de Chavón 30 years ago, when he was working with the Altos de Chavón school of art and design as an Artist in Residence, to read about Alexander Lumsden, the current Artist in Residence click here.

In this new exhibit by Alquiles Azar expect to find an interesting variety of colorful paintings with abstract bottles as a common theme as well as black and white sketches.

The Altos de Chavón art gallery is open every day EXCEPT Tuesdays from 9am to 6pm – so if you missed the inauguration it’s worth a trip up to Chavón to have a look around.
