The work on display demonstrated the progression of skills right through the school, from Pre-Kindergarten up to the 12th grade. There was a total of 855 individual pieces of work displayed, surely a record for this gallery. However, it was not the sheer quantity of the work on display that impressed all those who attended, but the unbelievable quality. It was indeed a visual feast employing a wide variety of techniques, from charcoal sketches to vivid paintings, colourful ceramics to delicate batik, wire sculptures to lively collages.

“People are always taken aback by the tremendous artistic talent which our students demonstrate, even from an early age. This year’s show was no exception. I would like to congratulate all of the Primary School teachers for achieving such high artistic standards with their students. A special thank you to the Head of Primary School Art, Miss Deborah Stewart. This was her first exhibition with us and she did a fantastic job of coordinating and displaying the students’ work. Many thanks as well to Mr. James Adams, the Head of Secondary School Art. He is a veteran of some seven exhibitions with us but always manages to come up with something new and original every year.” — Harry Magee, Headmaster at the Abraham Lincoln School
If you missed the opening night, we strongly recommend that you pass by to see this wonderful exhibition which will be on display until June 4th.
