Last Thursday the 11th of November, the new art exhibit ‘AA’ was inaugurated at the Altos de Chavón main gallery with welcome cocktail for the event’s many guests; friends and family of artists, Alexander Lumsden and Argenis Lebron, as well as many Casa de Campo residents and Altos de Chavón’s art aficionados.
The exhibit ‘AA’ was presented by Artists in Residence, Alexander Lumsden and Argenis Lebron. As an ‘Artist in Residence’ Alex has specialised in sculpture and so in this exhibit, he showcases his recent sculpture works, as well as a number of sketches and paintings, whilst Argenis has specialised in painting and in this exhibit presents his latest works; a collection that is very thought-provoking.
During the evening the 2 young artists, welcomed the many guests – proud to show their work to the public and were more than happy to answer questions and talk and explain their artistic concepts and feelings for their art.

Also during the evening, local TV star, Agustin of ‘Agustin en TV’ interviewed the artists, curious about the ‘Artists in Residence’ program, their artistic inspiration, their artistic background and life story before coming to Chavón. The interviews were filmed for a TV show called ‘Matutina de Hoy’ which is aired on channel 17.
