This week the “Buen Samaritano” Hospital in La Romana celebrates it’s 14th anniversary with a series of events and activities taking place from today, Tuesday the 8th of November through to Saturday the 12th of November.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, the Hospital will be conducting a “Wellness Program”, by providing comprehensive health care check-ups for employees, patients and members of the La Romana community, as well as teaching about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
“In our health fairs our doctors test for Hyperglycemia, Hypertension, obesity etc.. and interact with the community through mini forums in which participants are warned about the early signs of these and other diseases, that can be prevented or controlled, “said Elizabeth Valdez, director of marketing for the center.
The diverse program of free activities is:
Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9: Health Fair
Time: 9:00am – 3:00pmFriday 11: Children’s Party
Time: 2:00pmSaturday 12: The second annual “Walk for Health”
Time: 3:00pm
About the “Buen Samaritano” Hospital
The “Buen Samaritano” Hospital is a non-profit institution that has been providing assistance to the needy for more than 13 years. The organization is focused on supporting the development of programs and activities targeting the neediest in the Dominican Republic.
