Thanksgiving may not be a Dominican tradition and it is certainly not a Dominican holiday (meaning we don’t get a day off) BUT, Thanksgiving is still celebrated in the Dominican Republic – by many different groups of people and in many different ways!
While last week’s Best Turkey competition prepped our bellies for Thanksgiving, the real deal holiday is coming up this Thursday, November 28th! We all love a good meal and there’s no better time of the year to indulge in scrumptious goodies than in this harvest festival that is almost a 400 year old tradition. Surround yourself with your loved ones this week and partake in Casa de Campo’s dinner specials at any of their restaurants and have a thoroughly good time.
For those of you who’d like to host a family and friends get together in your home can easily take care of dinner arrangements with Casa de Campo’s Thanksgiving villa service. Choose from a Traditional or Dominican menu, the latter of which includes turkey with mofongo stuffing, brussels sprouts, and a delicious green beans salad with feta cheese. Dessert includes a choice of pecan pie, apple tart, or pumpkin cheesecake.
Prep your Thanksgiving plans in advance by calling the resort to make your reservations!
