For the first time in Casa de Campo, El Catador will host “Cata in Casa” in the Marina where 40 wineries and more than 120 wines from around the world will be available for a tasting. On January 28th, along with the participation of 7 restaurants in the Marina, we will all be able to sample wines from Spain, Italy, Argentina, France, and the United States, among others. Additionally, the evening will benefit the Fundación MIR.
The event will take place where La Palapa used to be in the Marina, close to the Chavón River, with a spectacular setup. The main wine houses and their sommeliers will offer a variety of products including cavas and champagnes. El Catador has featured this event many times in Santo Domingo, and now brings it to the Casa de Campo community.
Participants will be able to tour the stands and receive explanations of the characteristics and qualities of each wine, while Peperoni, The Beach Club, SBG, Pubbelly, Piazzetta, Marietta, and La Casita will prepare snacks for wine pairings. The event area will include several spaces for guests to enjoy drinks and hor d’oeuvres while looking out onto the beauty of the Chavón river bank and the Marina.
End the month in a great way and contribute to the Fundación MIR by attending Cata in Casa by El Catador. Monday, January 30th is a national holiday so take advantage of the long weekend! Tickets are available at El Catador and Pepperoni in the Marina, the Hotel reception area and at the Fundación MIR offices with a cost of US $150.
