This Saturday the 13th of August is the Fundacion MIR Family Weekend for Life, a fundraising event for the Fundacion MIR in La Romana with tennis and golf tournaments, a dinner and awards ceremony and After Party with DJ Gringo on Minitas Beach in Casa de Campo La Romana, and also taking part in the evening soiree is the Casino Diamante Hamaca, who will be creating a ‘faux-casino’ with a variety of casino games.

The Casino Diamante Hamaca will set up what will essentially resemble a casino area with Poker, Black Jack and a range of other popular casino games. A player will then ‘buy-in’ to one (or more) of these games and prizes NOT money will be awarded to the winners. There will be a variety of different prizes for those players who have lady luck on their side!

The ‘faux-casino’ will be part of the ‘Family Weekend for Life’ event being held at Minitas Beach from 8PM, this Saturday the 13th of August, tickets for this event cost US$150.

NOTE: ‘Faux-casino’ is NOT a real phrase, it is something I came up with for the purpose of describing casino events in Casa de Campo as ‘real’ gambling is prohibited in public places within the Casa de Campo resort La Romana. ‘Faux-casino’ means ‘like a casino but not really a casino.’
