In the end of 2017, the Minitas Beach Club underwent major renovations, upgrading the restaurant and menu and adding an entire pool area with rentable cabanas and an ocean front bar! Talk about improvements! Once you visit the new Minitas Beach Club it’s hard to remember what is was like beforehand. The Beach Club is the perfect place to indulge in delicious food, craft cocktails, and catch rays!

Carolina Herrera has been the creative director for her brand for the past 37 years, and this year at the age of 79 she has officially stepped down adopting the role of global brand ambassador. Carolina grew her brand and now plans to travel the world attending store openings and events spreading what the brand president calls, “the Carolina Effect”.

La Romana’s hottest new food spot, Cañaveral, was founded by 26 year old Jan Michael Giha and since its opening in December, business has been booming! The first ever food park started with 6 restaurants and Zafra, the original bar. The food park offers gastronomic variety in a beautiful setting and is unlike anything the town of La Romana has seen before! Jan Michael has the restaurant biz in his blood with his family founding Shish Kabab, a local favorite, almost 50 years ago! Check out Cañaveral, and while you’re there stop by the bar and say hello to the young entrepreneur!

Willy Pumarol fell in love with golf as a child and has dedicated his life to the sport. He played in college and turned pro in 2011. Since then, he has played the LA PGA circuit numerous times and recently qualified to play in the US PGA tour that came to Punta Cana. Through all of his successes, Willy has stayed grounded in his faith, and is constantly working to improve himself, reading books and watching documentaries. We can’t wait to see Willy continue to grow as a golfer!
