Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is preparing for the next installment of its acclaimed Wine Tasting Series. Scheduled for Sept. 6 and 7, 2024, at La Piazzetta in Altos de Chavón, this special edition will showcase the wines of Southern Italy, known as Mezzogiorno.
Beginning at 7 p.m. each evening, guests will enjoy a curated selection of wines from the Mezzogiorno region, offering an in-depth exploration of the unique characteristics and flavors that define Southern Italian wines.
This edition, led once again by Eduardo García, a renowned sommelier certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers, continues the tradition of providing an expert-guided tasting experience. Following the success of the previous edition, which compared Old World and New World wines, this event will delve into the nuances and complexities of Southern Italian wines, revealing what makes this region’s offerings distinctive.
Chef Rodrigo Menéndez, the resort’s culinary director, will oversee the evening’s culinary component. He has designed a six-course menu that perfectly complements the wines, promising a sensory journey that enhances the tasting experience through a harmonious blend of flavors and textures.
