Casa de Campo business owner, ex beauty queen and famous Dominican designer, Jenny Polanco recently took part in one of the Dominican Republic’s most important fashion events “Dominicana Moda” in Santo Domingo, with a unusual fashion show called “Retrospective.”
Despite the designer’s own reservations, the collection which showcases her best designs of the last 3 decades (hence the “retro” name), Jenny Polanco’s “Retrospective” fashion show was completely stunning. The show featured 20 new designs which reflected a mixture of innocence, femininity, sensuality and creativity, inspired by fashions from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s, each with characteristic hairdo, makeup and even music!
It is this undeniable talent for fashion, which has made Jenny Polanco one of the most popular fashion designers in the Dominican Republic since 1979.
Not only is Jenny Polanco a Casa de Campo community member, but she is also the owner of two stores located in the Marina Casa de Campo. In the “Jenny Polanco Boutique” Casa de Campo fashion lovers can find her amazing designs and stylized dresses featured in this fashion event, as well as bags, and even the new fashionable belts worn with most of her 20 new designs. Whilst in the “Jenny Polanco Project” store, shoppers will find Dominican arts and handcrafts curated by Jenny herself to support local Dominican artisans, such as funky jewelry and home ware items.
