louis vuitton blue mallSaturday the 22nd of October was a day filled with fun, fashion and glamour for the ladies of Casa de Campo! Setting out in the Guagua (bus) from Casa de Campo, the ladies enjoyed a fashion show at Dominicana Moda, a champagne cocktail at Louis Vuitton, followed by lunch and shopping in Blue Mall.

This uber glamourous and fashionable day trip to the Dominican Republic’s capital city, Santo Domingo was organized by the Hogar del Niño charity, who run a children’s day care and educational center in La Romana town. Money was raised for the charity with the sale of tickets for the fashion show, “The Silk Road” presented by the graduates of the Altos de Chavón School of Art and Design – who were taking part in the Dominicana Moda fashion event for the first time! Click here for our photos of the fashion show and the fun times at Dominicana Moda!  Following the fashion show, the ladies jumped back aboard the Guagua and traversed across Santo Domingo to Blue Mall, one of the city’s newest and most fashionable shopping malls, where the Louis Vuitton store and chilled glasses of Moet Chandon champagne were awaiting their arrival….

Champagne anyone? Casa de Campo’s ladies at the Louis Vuitton store in Blue Mall louis vuitton blue mall

Of particular interest to many, were the Louis Vuitton sunglasses range (a girl in the Caribbean can never have too many sunglasses), as well as the purses (a girl can never have too many purses)……and then of course there were also the beautiful shoes! Oh the shoes! Whilst most stuck to shopping within the ladies section of the store, those who visited the men’s area, found an equally impressive men’s selection, with all kinds of beautiful accessories for the modern man; shoes, luggage, briefcases and more, as well as the new line of Louis Vuitton leather watches – all of which would make for excellent Christmas gifts! Following an excellent champagne cocktail hour, courtesy of Louis Vuitton (thank you!), the merry Casa de Campo ladies trotted off to lunch before headed back to Casa de Campo.
