The prestigious Polo Club of Casa de Campo came alive on Saturday, April 19, with an exhilarating showdown between Casa de Campo and Perrier-Jouët, as part of the 2025 Polo Challenge. The event, hosted in collaboration with Lendof & Asoc., combined adrenaline, elegance, and tradition, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats from the very first chukker.

The highly anticipated game kicked off at 4 p.m., featuring top players. Representing Casa de Campo were Fernando Arata, Pablo Ávalos, Dennys Santana, and Alex Schad. The Perrier-Jouët team included Mauricio Bogaert, Gilberto Constanza, Modesto Constanza and Julio López.

From the start, the match showcased high-speed runs, strategic plays, and precise strikes. The live commentary by seasoned announcer Dr. José López added excitement and insight, enhancing the audience’s connection to each play and amplifying the sense of real competition.

The 2025 Casa de Campo Polo Challenge once again confirmed the resort’s reputation as the Caribbean’s premier polo destination — where sporting excellence, tradition, and high-end lifestyle converge seamlessly.

Prior to the first chukker, a minute of silence was held in honor of the victims of the Jet Set tragedy, followed by a solemn rendition of the Dominican national anthem, with special guests, family members and polo enthusiasts in attendance.

The event also marked the official launch of Romangus, Central Romana’s new premium meat line, celebrated with a spectacular tasting open to all attendees. The polo experience was elevated by the presence of Baglietto, the prestigious Italian yacht brand represented locally by IBI Yachts and closely linked to the polo world. Their exclusive hospitality lounge, designed for sophistication and comfort, became one of the day’s most distinguished spaces.
