The World Travel Awards, considered the “Oscars of the luxury travel industry” are voted upon by travel agents around the world, who rank the world’s luxury resorts on who they believe to be the best –  these are then broken down into specific regional awards. The World Travel Awards gala ceremony for the Caribbean and Americas region took place in Montego Bay, Jamaica, where senior tourism leaders, captains of industry and international media traveled from over 30 nations to attend the event and where Casa de Campo beat off competition from 25 other luxury resorts in the Caribbean to be crowned the winner of no less than 5 World Travel Awards, as well as the 2012 Ultimate Family Award!

Among Casa de Campo’s many awards, they have won the ‘Caribbean’s Leading Golf Resort’ no less than 6 times – in 2001, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 as well as the awards for the “Leading Golf Resort in the DR”, “Leading Resort in the Caribbean” and “Leading Resort in the DR” for the last 3 consecutive years; 2009, 201o and 2011.

For the last 4 consecutive years (2007-2010), Casa de Campo has claimed the ultimate glory of the ‘World’s Leading Golf Resort’ at the GLOBAL World Travel Awards, the winners of which will be announced later this month.
