It was with great joy and happiness that the Casa de Campo community came together to witness the holy union of David Gober and Scheila Febles – and the celebration was spectacular!
For Scheila and David Gober, their magical wedding day started long before the church ceremony – at their Casa de Campo villa, Cajuiles #47, where the bride and groom and their bridal party prepared themselves for the nuptials – with the help of make-up artist Jochy Campusano.
And in a break from tradition, it was here in the villa that David saw his beautiful bride Scheila for the first time in her wedding dress, a magical moment which was caught on camera by their wedding photographer, Jochy Fersobe…….
Love at first sight – David gets a sneak peak of his bride before the ceremony!

The quaint St Stanislaus church in Altos de Chavón had been simply yet elegantly decorated for the occasion, with white flowers and a white pathway up the aisle, along which Leo Febles, led his daughter to be wed to the main of her dreams. With tears in their eyes and affection in their hearts, the couple’s many friends and family from the Casa de Campo and La Romana communities watched as Scheila and David exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony led by Father Victor Garcia, in which the couple’s young children Michelle and “Davisito” (David) played the roles of flower girl and pageboy.
As the ceremony came to a close and David and Scheila were pronounced man and wife, the newly weds walked hand in hand down the aisle, kissing playfully as the greeted their beaming friends and family who had turned out in such numbers, that those who were unable to squeeze inside the small church crowded around the doorway.
Following the ceremony, the guests joined the couple for a cocktail on the outside terrace of the La Piazzetta restaurant, which, with it’s breathtaking view over the river below was the ideal place to pose for official photographs as well as toast their marriage with flutes of champagne, as the sunset on the perfect day!
From cocktails on the terrace, guests were led to the main reception, staged at the Dye Fore Terrace, which, with decorations by “Eventos x 3” adorned with white flowers, crystals and candles, had never looked more beautiful. There, guests enjoyed a delicious dinner catered by the Casa de Campo hotel, who had expertly coordinated the organization of the no-expense-spared event.
Fireworks, which were gifted by Scheila and David’s dear friend Mercedes Lara, (who also decorated the church), signaled the start of the music and dancing, with the Dominican Republic’s most popular merengue band, “Los Hermanos Rosarios”, who got everyone up and dancing – on the dance floor and on the stage! From there, the non-stop fun continued with the traditional “hora loca” (crazy hour), animated by Altos de Chavón’s Kandela dancers, music by David Almengod, lot’s of multi-colored confetti and plenty of booty-shaking!
It was the perfect celebration for the perfect couple! Congratulations to Scheila and David – who are now off on their honeymoon enjoying the sights of Europe; Paris, Venice, Barcelona, Rome and Scheila’s first visit to New York! We hope you are having a wonderful time and wish you all the happiness in the world for the future!
