Casa de Campo Resort & Villas To Host 10th Edition of Latin America Pro Am

Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is all set to host the 10th edition of the Latin America Pro Am from Aug. 19 to 24, 2024. This prestigious tournament, a highlight of the Caribbean golf calendar, will be played on the acclaimed Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore courses, both crafted by the renowned designer Pete Dye.

The Latin America Pro Am is celebrated for its distinctive format, which pairs professional golfers with amateurs in a competitive setting. This year’s event will feature 20 teams and more than 100 players representing countries such as Argentina, Puerto Rico, Mexico, the United States, and the Virgin Islands. Notable participants include Luciano Giometti, Ignacio Brea, and Armando López Ron.

Golfers thoroughly enjoy the chance to compete alongside professionals on the spectacular and challenging courses of Teeth of The Dog and Dye Fore,” said Manuel Relancio, head golf pro at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas. “We aim for everyone to have an enjoyable experience both on and off the golf course at the premier resort in the Caribbean. The tournament will follow a 72-hole format with four categories based on the combined handicap index of the four amateurs and an overall category vying for the coveted “Champions Cup.” Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division and the overall category. Special awards will also be given for the best approach shot and a hole-in-one. The event is supported by sponsors including Ron Barceló, Titleist, and Club Car.
