Our beloved Casa de Campo has once again taken home another prestigious award at the 27th annual World Travel Awards! Casa de Campo Resort & Villas was honored with the distinction of “World’s Leading Luxury Sports & Villa Resort 2020,” proving once again that this is the ultimate luxury sports and villa resort destination in the World! This tremendous recognition marks the seventh consecutive year that Casa de Campo receives this specific award!

“We are extremely proud to be chosen once again by the prestigious World Travel Awards and be part of the best in the World”, said Andrés Pichardo Rosenberg, president at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas. “Our oceanfront villas, spa, equestrian center, world-class golf, marina, shooting center, and other top-notch amenities certainly put us in the running to be considered for such an honor. It is ultimately our dedicated staff that goes above and beyond and leaves the biggest impression on the World Travel Awards travel professionals who voted for us. I want to thank and congratulate our Casa de Campo staff, because, in addition to our excellent facilities, it is the human talent of Casa de Campo that works day by day with passion and enthusiasm, perfecting the guest experience so that we can always be in the top ten and for that, I am extremely grateful.”

This noteworthy accolade comes as a result of travel and tourism professionals worldwide voting on those resorts that have shown a commitment to excellence in the past year. Casa de Campo Resort & Villas – a member of The Leading Hotels in the World – attracts affluent travelers with the offering of spacious hotel rooms, suites, and luxury villas. Gourmet cuisine and fine wines and spirits are prevalent throughout the destination’s restaurants and bars, a 370-slip Marina & Yacht Club, Polo & Equestrian Club, La Terraza Tennis Center, and 245-acre Shooting Club.

Spanning 7,000 tropical acres on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic, this luxury Caribbean destination is also home to three of the game’s most difficult golf courses all designed by Pete Dye, including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, and Links. Casa de Campo is also home to Altos de Chavón – an artisan’s village modeled after a 16th-century Mediterranean city with boutique shops, museums, and a 5,000-seat Grecian-style amphitheater inaugurated by Frank Sinatra in August of 1982.

Described as the ‘Oscars’ of global travel by the Wall Street Journal, the World Travel Awards, which have been awarded since 1993, recognize the ‘best of the best’ in the world. The World Travel Award brand is recognized globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire. Votes are cast by over 213,000 travel professionals including travel agencies, tour, and transport companies, and tourism organizations in more than 160 countries across the globe. World winners represent the highest honors in the global travel and tourism sector.

“Despite the incredible challenges faced by our industry over the course of 2020, I am pleased to report that this year’s World Travel Awards programme saw record voting numbers from the all-important tourism consumer, whilst our website continues to receive more search traffic than in any previous year. This shows that the hunger for travel and tourism has never been as keen, offering fortitude and encouragement to us all. As we continue to work towards a better future, winning a World Travel Award this year is more important than ever. The tourism consumer will want to know that they will be booking with only the very best.” – Graham E. Cooke, Founder World Travel Awards

Congratulations Casa de Campo on your continuing success!!! We’re so proud to live and work in this piece of paradise in the Caribbean.
