Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, home to the best luxury golf experiences in the Caribbean, including the iconic Teeth of the Dog course, has received the coveted award for hotel experience awarded by the prestigious International Association of Golf Operators (IAGTO).
The winners of the IAGTO prize were announced during the ceremony of the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM), the annual fair for the world golf tourism industry that was held between October 14 and 17 in Marrakech, Morocco. The more than 700 golf tour operators, who are part of the IAGTO, voted among the elite hotels that provide the best possible experience for golf travelers.
Casa de Campo was also recently honored on the “100 Best Resorts in North America and the Caribbean” list by GOLF magazine. Chosen among the “best of the best”, Casa de Campo stood out in the “General Luxury” category, which selects exemplary resorts that stand out for efficient customer service, excellent golf, high-end amenities and fantastic experiences off the field.
“This has been an exceptional year for us in obtaining important industry awards and we are delighted to be honored among the highest levels of the world’s leading golf destinations. These awards demonstrate the endless commitment of our incredible staff to help our guests have a unique luxury vacation experience, ”said Andrés Pichardo Rosenberg, president of Casa de Campo.
In particular, Casa de Campo is home to the design of the masterpiece designed by Pete Dye, Teeth of the Dog. Since its opening in 1971, the course that embraces the ocean has been on the “wish list” for those looking to play in one of the 50 most important golf courses in the world. Especially because of the oceanfront holes called “The Heaven 7”, which are amazingly beautiful, from which Dye’s famous phrase emerged: “I created 11 holes and God created seven.”
