On Sept. 20, 2024, Casa de Campo Resort & Villas hosted an exclusive event featuring Ben-Yam and Elah Barshi, co-founders of Moringaia, a Dominican skincare and wellness brand. Held at The Spa Casa de Campo, the event highlighted a collaboration focused on natural beauty, sustainability, and local commitment.

Guests explored Moringaia’s product range, used in the spa’s exclusive treatments, and participated in a symbolic tree-planting ceremony. This initiative honored Moringaia’s reforestation mission and launched a larger project to plant more moringa trees around the spa, enhancing the resort’s landscape and creating an immersive experience for visitors.

Charles Keusters, Casa de Campo’s operations director, thanked attendees and emphasized the importance of such initiatives. “These activities let us share the intentional work of our spa and highlight key collaborations like Moringaia. We’re thrilled our spa supports projects with such meaningful impact,” he said.

Irene Campana, Casa de Campo’s director of Spa & Wellness, echoed this sentiment. “Since the start of our spa project, we’ve sought brands that offer high-quality products and share our commitment to nature. We found that perfect partner in Moringaia.” She added that much of the spa menu features Moringaia products, enhancing facial treatments developed exclusively for Casa de Campo.

Moringaia’s co-founder, Elah Barshi, expressed excitement about the partnership, praising Casa de Campo’s understanding of sustainability and continuous support for its vision. Ben-Yam Barshi elaborated on the exceptional benefits of moringa, noting, “Moringa is a superfood containing more vitamin C than oranges, more calcium than milk, more vitamin A than carrots, and more protein than yogurt. It’s a true nutritional treasure that benefits not only the skin but the entire body.” He emphasized Moringaia’s goal to plant one million trees as part of their reforestation and community efforts.

During the event, Casa de Campo’s culinary team impressed guests with a menu inspired by Moringaia’s organic ingredients, offering dishes like pineapple and mango tartar with vegan tiger’s milk, mushroom skewers, and spinach, moringa, and katuk quiche.

The event continued on Sept. 21 with the Moringaia Glow Masterclass, where participants learned to integrate Moringaia products into their daily skincare routines. They also sampled moringa cookies, new chocolate offerings and enjoyed a “Moringaia Glow Smoothie,” made with moringa and pitahaya.

These events are part of a series at The Spa Casa de Campo designed to share the spa’s offerings with the community and guests. Upcoming events on Oct. 4 and 5 will feature Carolina Socias Beachwear, a Dominican resort wear brand focused on sustainability and eco-friendly fabrics.
