Last Friday, May 11th  Casa de Campo Resort & Villas – home to the most renowned luxury golf courses in the Caribbean, including the iconic Teeth of the Dog – officially opened its new world-class Golf Learning Center. Many Casa de Campo residents and owners got together to learn more of the avant-garde installation which is directed by Charlie Epps, renowned golf instructor and former trainer of Angel Cabrera, who was the first Latin American to win the Augusta Masters.  The golf school is built next to the newly constructed 430-yard end-to-end driving range designed and overseen by the Golf Hall of Famer, Pete Dye, and his son, PB Dye. This facility has the quality standards of the PGA Tour and also exhibits practice greens to refine the putting, chipping and pitching games, as well as the unlimited use of the driving range. There are also two interior impact areas with Trackman and BODITRAK technology, which facilitates training throughout the year, for individual and group golf classes and schools, as well as adjustment and repair of clubs. Instructional classes are available in the three fields designed by Pete Dye, including the famed Teeth of the Dog. During the opening event Robert Birtel, Director of golf operations in Casa de Campo, talked about the equipment, schedules and what they look to achieve with this new addition. The center is ideal for those who wish to improve their games while enjoying a break in the Caribbean. The Resort also offers a wonderful “Train in Paradise” package for golfers who are interested in using the facility as well as a “PGA / LPGA package” for professional instructors, which allows them to fully utilize the facilities of the Golf Learning Center to provide their students with a place to train in one of the world’s most elite golf destinations. “Our new Golf Learning Center offers guests an exceptional environment to improve their game with our instructors offering the most advanced sports technology,” says Andrés Pichardo Rosenberg, President of Casa de Campo. This project, together with other innovations and constructions that the resort has planned, are part of an important investment made by the Central Romana Corporation, with the purpose of offering the highest product and service at an international level.  The following gallery of photos were provided by Casa de Campo, taken by Mairobi Herrera, on Friday, May 11th during the official opening of the Golf Learning Center:
