This week’s Casa de Campo photo was taken on a casual golf cart jaunt around Casa de Campo – one of the best ways to explore and really enjoy the resort!

casa de campo villa

I spotted this pretty flower blooming at the gateway to a villa in the Punta Aguila area of Casa de Campo and just had to stop for a quick photo. The bright red against the green is just gorgeous! I was also pretty taken by the gateway itself – I striking blue doorway in a stone wall blooming with pink flowers and overgrown with plants. It reminded me of the book “The Secret Garden” – but unfortunately we weren’t brave enough to sneak beyond the wall!

For those of you who don’t know flowers – this stunning bloom is a Hibiscus Rose, most typically grown in tropical and subtropical climates and is the national flower of Malasia, as well as being the “State flower” to Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

Have a wonderful Sunday and remember if you’re looking for something fun to do – a golf cart ride is always a nice relaxing option!
