On Friday and Saturday the 12th and 13th of August the Orfanato Niños de Cristo, Orphanage in La Romana town near Casa de Campo welcomed visitors and their pets for a magical weekend of fun and games!
The concept behind the event was for the Orfanato’s friends and supporters, many of whom are Casa de Campo villa owners and residents, to bring their pets for the day to give the children the chance to play with them. Many of the kids had never been given the opportunity to even hold a dog and so when all the pets arrived, all of the Orfanato’s more than 100 children were very excited to see so many cute dogs!

As well as Casa de Campo villa owners, the party was joined by a group of volunteers from the US, who came to the orphanage to play with the children as well as to get to know the facilities. At the end of their visit, the Americans, who were part of a group called Score International performed a funny sketch for the children, which everyone enjoyed very much!
Also supporting the event, were a group from the Hotel Catalonia in Bávaro – who not only came to visit, but also brought with them snacks, music, food and gifts for the children – as well as some much needed school supplies!
On Saturday, the fun and games continued and the children enjoyed playing with the dogs, as well as dancing and partying! On this day, Andrea Coronado shared her birthday celebartion with the girls and boys of the Orfanato – by bringing a cake and snack for everyone!

The Orfanato Niños de Cristo in La Romana, is a safe-haven, a paradise and a home for the more than 150 orphans who live there. The Orfanato, the other children and the caring people who work there are their friends, carers and their family and despite all that these children have already endured they are happy and loved – thanks to the Orfanato.
