The padel tennis wave has now hit Casa de Campo after launching its first-ever court at La Terraza Tennis Center. The sport is an adaptation of tennis and combines action with fun and social interaction. It’s a great sport for players of all ages and skills, as it is quick and easy to pick up!

On Friday, November 18th, Casa de Campo executives, Andrés Pichardo and Jason Kycek and La Terraza Tennis Center Director, Matias Territoriale, inaugurated the padel courts accompanied by members of the community. This is something that has been in the works for quite some time and we are thrilled to have new options available to us in Casa. This is just one of the many updates and additions planned, we hear that there will be more soon!

“At Casa de Campo we are always at the forefront and ready to satisfy the demands of our clients. This is why today we inaugurate these two paddle tennis courts, with an approximate investment of 150 thousand dollars, which complements our varied sports offer, as well as the improvement initiatives that we have been developing in recent years. We hope you enjoy practicing this sport and that these courts are a source of healthy recreation and competitiveness.”

Andrés Pichardo, President of Casa de Campo Resort and Villas

What is padel tennis?

Padel is a mix between Tennis and Squash. It’s usually played in doubles on an enclosed court surrounded by walls of glass and metallic mash. The court is one-third of the size of a tennis court.

Using a short, stringless racquet with an elastic surface with holes and a low-compression tennis ball, the service is made underarm. * more padel tennis info here.

Make sure to go by La Terraza Tennis Center and check it out! We are sure Matias and the La Terraza staff will be happy to show you and even give you some lessons if you need them!
