The “Leading Travel Trade Show”, ITB Berlin took place last week from the 4th to the 8th of March, and our beloved Casa de Campo resort was a stand out among the more than 10,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries and 5 continents.
Casa de Campo was represented by Leandro Cruz, Casa de Campo VP Sales and Marga Balaguer, Sales Director. In an interview during the event (full video below), Leandro described Casa de Campo as a “7,000 acre resort with villas and rooms, we have the largest hotel-villas inventory in the Caribbean and maybe in the world, which is perfect for families or extended families travelling together, we also have 277 rooms and suites and the hotel is very unique in the fact of our sport offering, which is top of the line with polo, shooting center, 3 amazing golf courses including the Teeth of the Dog that is on the top 10 in the world, a beautiful beach and a great Marina.”
ITB Berlin 2015, is one of the most important fairs in the travel and tourism industry. It is the moment all the novelties and industry trends are presented, this year with the participation of 189 countries, 10,147 industry professionals, 5,700 journalists and more than 180,000 visitors.
The Dominican delegation was headed by Francisco Javier Garcia, Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, who worked alongside the team from Casa de Campo who met with tour operators, agencies, airlines and media, gave presentations and interviews in a bid to attract more German tourists to our beautiful piece of paradise.
During the fair Casa de Campo was promoted as one of the most exclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean, which offers a wide range of sports such as; polo, golf, tennis, shooting and breathtaking sports facilities led by the Teeth of the Dog, the Caribbean’s #1 golf course.
And with Euro Wings just announcing that it will be bringing a direct twice weekly flight to the Casa de Campo – La Romana Airport from Cologn starting in the Autumn, it looks like we need to start brushing up on your German skills! Auf Wiedersehen!
