Casa de Campo became the cultural hub of the Dominican Republic from Nov. 1 to Nov. 3, 2024, with the return of ALMA by The Sphere, a unique event celebrating Spanish culture. Organized by Spanish entrepreneurs Cuchy Pérez and Susana Deleito, this marked the second edition of the event in the country, following its successful debut in 2023.

“We are thrilled that the second edition of ALMA by The Sphere is being held in this sister country of ours,” said Pérez and Deleito. “Once again, we’ve brought Spain to the Dominican Republic in a way that has never been seen before.”

The three-day event offered a blend of gastronomic experiences, performances, and Spanish traditions. On the evening of November 1, Casa de Campo hosted a prestigious gala dinner featuring Michelin-starred chef David García.

The evening also included a flamenco performance from “El Corral de la Morería,” one of Spain’s most famous tablaos, with prominent dancer Eduardo Guerrero taking the stage.

On November 2, the event moved to Altos de Chavón, where attendees enjoyed an exclusive dinner show in palcos, or elevated seating, which spanned a significant portion of the amphitheater.

The chefs Hermanos Vinagre, recipients of the highest culinary honor in Spain — three Soles Repsol — prepared the meal, which was followed by a spectacular performance of ABBA The New Experience, featuring the current cast from Spain. The night ended with an electrifying DJ set by international artist Juan Magán.

The event’s third day unfolded at Casa de Campo’s polo field, which transformed into a lively representation of Seville’s Fair. This spectacle encompassed all the traditional elements synonymous with this globally recognized festival — flamenco attire, casetas (tents), flamenco group performances, and authentic cuisine. Musicians Los Bomberay, Grupo Salea, and Los Paripé provided the soundtrack for the celebration.

ALMA by The Sphere once again succeeded in offering an extraordinary three-day immersion, seamlessly weaving culinary excellence, enchanting music, elegant fashion, and rich folklore — an exquisite tapestry that transported attendees to the vibrant essence of Spain.
